Taco Agave Sculpture

Allow us to introduce our second sculpture for the World of Beer establishment! This aluminum agave sculpture will reside in World of Beer’s newest concept – Taco Agave, which is scheduled to open soon.

After being commissioned for the World of Beer patio railing, the drink rails at Casino Beach Bar and the Blend sculpture, we were extremely excited to work on this project.

Temple Beth El Sees A Brighter Future

Sconce Close Up

Temple Beth El, at 800 N. Palafox Street was founded in 1876, making it the first Reform Jewish congregation in the state of Florida

Their recent renovation projects included updating some of the light fixtures within the temple itself.  This pair of bronze beauties were crafted by our amazing crew from plasma-cut plates, then hand finished and feature custom cutouts and lightly frosted glass.  The glow emanating from these sconces is a perfect addition to the temple sanctuary.

Spring Restoration on Moreno Street

photo 2 (2)The front entrance to the law offices of JJ Talbott have gotten a bit of a face-lift recently.  The antique steel decorative fencing and gates that border the front of the office at 900 E. Moreno street was in need of a little TLC.   Our fantastic crew did a thorough pressure wash, then applied an overall rust treatment while taking care of some structural repairs to the pickets and posts. That was all topped off with a fresh coat of black enamel paint.  But the crowning glory is the walk gate and the restoration of hand-painted gold medallions and accents.

If your home or office has vintage metalwork in need of repair and restoration,  please don’t hesitate to call us.

LuLu’s Fountain for Youth

After our success last summer in crafting the stunning zinc bar top at Lucy B. Goode eatery in Gulf Shores, AL, we were delighted to be contacted again by Lucy Buffett’s staff to contribute to her latest location, LuLu’s Destin.  A custom designed fountain, cut and assembled by our amazing crew is both fun and eye catching.

Lulu’s Destin is a brand new landing spot for the young and young at heart looking for food, drinks and fun.

Taking it’s place of pride on the gorgeous white sand out back, our powder coated aluminum structure is accented with plasma-cut sea creatures and features hand-painted buckets by artist Kat Dameworth.  This addition to LuLu’s play area will provide fun for generations of kids.

Next time you’re in Destin, stop by have have a look at our newest work of art!

A Spring Addition for your Porch, Patio or Deck.

Friends and long-time customers, Renee and Gary, came by recently with their tired and worn out porch swing. Could we construct them a new swing that looked like the old one and would be both attractive and durable?

Sad, isn’t it?

We immediately got to work constructing this beauty.

And even better, we made a second smaller swing to match.

Hand formed and brush-finished aluminum flat bars provide the perfect framework for the Cumaru slats. The soft & silky Cumaru hardwood was left unstained and unsealed for it to acquire a natural patina over time. It has sturdy hanging rings to accomodate either chains or ropes.

Renee and Gary were thrilled with their new swings, and we’re pretty impressed with them too.

Call us or come in and let our incredible crew put together a new swing for your home!

You Don’t Have To Go To Jail To Make Your Own Custom License Plate….

License PlateOur friend Jeff Smith recently asked us to create a license plate for the front of his car that would reflect both his personal and business philosophy.  This stainless steel beauty is 1/16″ thick with plasma-cut lettering and a hand-set, painted steel anvil.  A contrast color backing plate make the letters easy to read even from a distance.  Our skilled crew adds the brush finish to the plate and applies any accent paint.

Give us a call and let us help you design a plate that is as unique as you are.

Belly Up To Lucy B’s custom Zinc Bar

 Lucy B Bar

Next time you’re in Gulf Shores, stop by the newly opened Lucy B. Goode restaurant, located next to LuLu’s at Homeport.

Owner Lucy Buffett commissioned our skilled and experienced metalworkers to fabricate this massive zinc-topped bar for her newest casual dining establishment.  As you can see, the results are pretty spectacular.

In addition to presenting a sleek and modern look,  the Zinc material we used has natural anti-microbial properties that make it the perfect low-maintenance top for a bar, kitchen island or counter top.

Wheelchair Repair Gets a New Friend Rolling

From March 28th to April 1st, Roger Scott Tennis Center hosted the 9th Annual Pensacola Open Wheelchair Tennis Championship Tournament. Welcoming 140 competitors from 21 countries, it’s one of the largest tournaments in the US.
Great Britain competitor, Kevin Simpson ran into a bit of trouble before he even hit the courts on Thursday. The airlines had accidentally damaged his wheelchair in transit, so our friend Dave Henderson (a tourney volunteer) brought Kevin to our shop for some help.
After some tinkering, swearing, adjusting, attaching, more swearing and a little more adjusting, our skilled fabricators got Kevin back in his wheelchair & ready to hit the courts!
Congrats on your performance Kevin, we hope to see you next year!
